Logline

A teenage girl who was sent to a girls' juvenile detention center joins a program to create an original musical, forcing her to confront others with honesty for the first time and take her first real step into society. But when the performance is cancelled after a tragedy, she must decide whether to remain silent for early release or risk losing her chance at early release to finally speak the truth.

Concept

A space where silenced voices begin to surface - not for others, but to reclaim themselves. Through music, emotions that could not be spoken begin to take shape, opening a window into Japan's juvenile system, gender, and rehabilitation.

Profile

Affiliated with a production company within the TV Asahi network, he works as a documentary director for television. Since childhood, he has been deeply connected to music and has performed in charity concerts. Through these experiences, he witnessed how music can express what words cannot. This realization took on new meaning when he encountered a unique musical program at a girls' juvenile training school in Japan. Watching the girls create and perform their own production, he was struck not by technical perfection, but by the raw honesty of their voices. This moment became the origin of his first feature film project, Her Voice. After participating in the ATMOVIE GLOBAL TRACK, his commitment to this story deepened. With this project, he aims to take his first step as an international film director, beginning with its presentation at the Cannes Film Festival.
